If you are wondering if you should include your pet in your family photo - the answer is YES! I lost my dog, Spike (very unexpectedly), a little over 3 years ago. I never had a family photo taken with him.. and honestly... it never even occurred to me to do so. But why not? He was an important member of our family and deserved to be included as such.

This sweet family recently had to endure the heartbreak of losing their beloved family pet. They knew his time was limited and wanted to get a family portrait with him before it was too late. I was so honored when they asked me to take these photos.

It's been a month since little Rosco has crossed the Rainbow bridge... I'm sure it will take time for the pain to subside but hopefully they can find a little comfort when they look at these photos.

All pains are hard to subside. I admire those people who get along well with their pets and even include them in their family photo. It is really a must. I have never thought that I would love a dog too. I hate pets before, maybe because I was too afraid that they might hurt me. I was too attached to my dogs that whenever they die or get lost, the pain is not that easily be removed. I miss my dog.
